Image Explorer

December 5th, 2005

This project came about as a result of thinking about pictures as parts instead of as a whole. After all, isn’t the captured photograph just a segment of the photographer’s landscape? With this in mind I thought it could be interesting to break a photograph down even further. By moving your mouse across the image you can uncover one level of intensity at a time, allowing you to build a representation of the image in your mind even though you’ve only seen fractured portions.
